➤Corporate Finance & Payroll
● Prepare monthly financial reporting and management reporting (i.e. flash, Quarterly Business Update)
● Co-lead with the Regional GM the Annual Operation Plan (ministered by federal Department of Resources,
Energy and Tourism) and budgetary process of an AUD37 million annual spending budget (CAPEX + OPEX)
● Build forecast models and reduce variance by closely working with the BUs (i.e. Marketing, Business Events,
Travel Agency channel, Ops) on better execution of approved projects’ plans
● Provide guidance and instructions to local Corporate Service Officers on accounting, HR and admin tasks
● Oversee payroll functions and individual income tax filing for North Asian offices, work closely with People &
Culture team in Sydney and outsourced payroll service firms in each region
● Manage corporate services contracts and serve as probity for business contracts
● Approve non-business invoices, reconcile corporate cards and verify staff expense reports
➤Compliance & Governance
● Identify potential risks in relation to fraud or non-compliance with Australian Government’s Conduct Act, local tax regulations, procurement, use of company’s branding items, staff T&E spend, expats’ allowance structure
● Work with CFO and legal & governance team based in Sydney, and external auditing firms to revise or establish policies and standard operating procedures to enhance internal control
➤Administration & External Relationship
● Establish strong relationship with China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and tax authority
● Conduct financial analysis and prepare Board Paper for HK office relocation, Shanghai office lease renewal
