• Influenced TSO’s to create new Specification / standards for Partial Discharge, Distributed Sensing and Distributed Acoustic Solutions in 3 countries (UAE, Saudi and Oman). Started the Pre-Qualification of those solutions which will be finalized in the year 2024.

• Directed the project team and executed Cable Accessories Installation Projects and Partial Discharge Monitoring systems in the GCC region, while ensuring adequate project governance, and planning & forecasting throughout the entire project life cycle.
• Undertook PD testing and analysis for many customers in the GCC Region; Conducted many commissioning tests for 400kV, 22kV, 132kV circuits for many utilities in the region, e.g. DEWA, Transco, FEWA, and Kahramaa.
• Planned, scheduled, and delivered training sessions on Cables Course for 60+ National Grid Engineers & NAMA Group Engineers based in Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman respectively.
• Initiated product enhancement procedures by applying Design to Cost techniques, leading to a 40% reduction in cable manufacturing costs: Organized 20+ training seminars and coaching sessions for distributors and customers.
• Received “Employee of the Year Award” in FY’19 for consistently exceeding key business deliverables; Participated in new product development in FY’19 and devised an innovative product named Super-Dry, which got patented in FY’21.
• Responsible for calculating current carrying capacity, induced voltages, circulating current for different cables sizes using excel, CYMCAP or similar software and preparing reports accordingly as per IEC 60287-1-1, IEC60287-1-2 & IEC 60853; measured and calculated the Thermal resistivity of cable component in order to get accurate current carrying capacity of the cable.
• Familiar with the different type of standards used in cable manufacturing and testing such as IEC, BS, UL, ASTM, and EN.
• An Active member in IEC committee TC 20 / WG 16, main functions are updating the IEC standards such as IEC 60502-1 & 2, IEC 60840
• Took care of technical issues raised by customers in relation to cable design and current carrying capacity in different arrangements and different environments, e.g., participated in providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to cable failure in PDO plant in Oman and provided solutions to rectify and solve the problems indefinitely.
• Prepared Technical Bulletins (short technical journals) to provide a simple explanation of all aspects of OCI’s power cables that are of use to all our customers and supports OCI technical marketing efforts.
