Activities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve the financial targets. Duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. The main objective is to steer the sales activities, vision and mission for the company.
Responsibilities
• Develop strategies, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
• Plan and execute retail targets for the various channels (dealer, fleet, rental & government)
• Drive wholesale targets for the company
• Plan retail schemes to drive sales objectives
• Develop initiatives to increase throughput of the various channels (dealer, fleet, rental & government)
• Evaluate effectiveness and implement changes to various sales initiatives such as:
o Fleet pricing strategy and policy
o Dealer Demo policy
o Rental pricing strategy and policy
o Government pricing strategy and policy
• Developing relationships with clients, fleet owners, stakeholders, converters and government officials
• Analyze and capture the market potential for Specialized Vehicles through approved converters such as:
o Mining applications
o Emergency Medical Services (Ambulances and Response Vehicles)
o Tourism (Game Viewers)
• Manage stock ordering
• Manage and control production compliance against order requirements
• Manage ageing stock
• Plan, manage and execute new product launches
• Attract new investors to the Brand
• Plan new dealer appointments
• Manage the implementation of CI requirements
• Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
• Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
• Maximizing new business development opportunities
• Overseeing the sales team KPIs and reviews
• Direct sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs
• Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs
• Analyze sales history to formulate new policies designed to promote sales
• Review market analysis and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential and develop
sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership
• Serve as liaison between sales department and other departments
• Analyze and control expenditure to conform to budgetary requirements
• Recommends or approves new expenditures and appropriations
