Kalmar, a multinational company based in Finland with presence all around the world, is a leading company in the construction of cargo handling machinery, belonging to the Cargotec group. Within the company, my main functions are to coordinate the sale of spare parts all around the Spanish country, coordinating the Spanish team with the team in our central site. Among these functions, it is worth highlighting: management and interpretation of technical files, preparation and monitoring of quotations, making of business plans, technical support, preparation of technical reports and “on-site” studies to make improvements to the machinery.

Inamer is a company dedicated to mechanical maintenance, especially for large factories in the area. During this work period, I was the Technical Manager for maintenance work (repair of machinery, assembly and disassembly of complete lines, mechanics, hydraulics, welding, machining, etc.), as well as the Purchasing Manager of the company. Among my functions as Technical Manager, it is worth highlighting the quotations making, on-site monitoring of work in progress and coordination of the human team in charge of carrying out the work. Then, as Purchasing Manager, my functions include contacting suppliers, requesting and selecting offers (in compliance with ISO9001:2015), traceability of materials used in the work carried out and stock control, among others. On the other hand, I have also carried out the function of Project Manager for 9 months (January-September 2022), at this stage I combined my functions described above with the direction and coordination (civil, electrical and mechanical works) of a big project in one of the port terminals of Algeciras.

During this stage, I was in charge of coordinating operations related to the installation of the new phase of the steel-making process in the factory. In addition, I was also involved in other operations belonging to the New Installations department carried out in the factory (new pipes lines, assembly of new hydraulic lines, commissioning of F.P.S., monitoring of new hydraulic systems implemented in AP5, among others). On the other hand, I also created Technical Specifications for contract tenders for maintenance work.

During this work period, I was part of the team in charge of replacing the old electrical line of the AP-3 rolling mill with a new line, at the Acerinox Europa factory. Specifically, my tasks were the wiring of new panels, as well as the uninstallation of the old electrical energy transmission lines and the installation of the new ones

In this professional stage, my duties focused on the assembly of all types of refractory insulation. Whether in Blast furnaces or A.O.D., or in ladles for both casting and transfer, among others, in the Acerinox Europa factory.
