Within my current role I am part of the Business development team, predominantly looking after the south region. I sell EO charging Hardware (Domestic and Commercial) to a mix of Wholesale,
Partnership’s and fleet organizations. To ensure that I hit my sales target I also must hold a good
relationship with the Installers within my area, making sure they are marketing and interested in
selling our product the to end user.
To engage with my customers, I hold regular meetings with them either face to face or via Teams, I
also hold training sessions and breakfast mornings at specific wholesale branches and make sure that
I attend any crucial EV or fleet events that are necessary to gain valuable information and new leads.
Since joining EO Charging I have worked closely with my manager to help reshape the way our team
use SalesForce (CRM) and I have simplified the process of this by adding a Team Dashboard that
shows our whole teams Pipeline of orders, forecasting and team phone and email activity so this is
all in one place that ourselves and management kind fine easily to track KPI’s and Activity. I have also
introduced my team to percentages when adding in opportunities, this means that the wider
management team can have a better understanding of where we are with PO’s coming through and
making sure that a realistic close date is also added to the opportunity.
I also have to make sure that I am making active calls out to my key customers to make sure that they
are happy with the service and product and to use my account management skills to build and keep
strong relationships with them, I also make calls out to target customers that I am targeted to bring
onto our client list and make them customers for our product moving forward, I do this by always
keeping a professional manner and by gaining the information for the key stakeholders so that when
I am in conversations I am speaking to the correct person to ensure we have success and can start to
arrange essential meetings to hopefully win their business.
In this role it is also crucial that I am there to fully support the sales processing and sales admin
teams to ensure that all my PO’s are clear with the correct information and to also guide them
through any training needed on products as well as being there to offer advice and support through
any customer service needs for a senior member of the sales team to step in.
Key Duties Include;
• Account Management - liaising with clients to make sure their needs are met.
• Problem solving - if my clients have any issues, I make sure they are solved in a timely and efficient
manner.
• Making Proactive calls to generate new business for the company.
• Data input on the companies CRM. (SalesForce)
• CRM and Sales Process improvements to simplify the process and data inputted
• Holding Training and Breakfast Mornings with Wholesale, Fleet and Partnership Customers
• Weekly meetings with Clients and installers to ensure they are happy and onboard with the EO
Charging range of products.
• Prioritising my workload, whilst also using management skills to help other members of the wider
team with theirs.
