DITH (Duferco InternationalTrading Holding) stands as the Group’s brand for its leading steel trading company on the global scale.
Being the trading manager of Flat Steel section at DITH Turkey, I am responsible for
managing/supervising the trading activities of the Group for flat steel products range in Turkey including all import and export operations. [Total quantity managed at flat steel trading: ~750kt/y]

* MMK (Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works) is one of the biggest steel producers in the world and the market leader in Russia. CJSC MMK Metalurji, MMK Group’s investment in Turkey, includes two steel production sites located in the industrial zones of Dörtyol and Gebze. The integrated plant is designed to produce annually 2,3 million tonnes of flat steel products, including HRC, P&O, CRC FH, GI and PPGI coils/sheets/strips.
* Key responsibilities of my position are: Managing International Sales & Marketing activities of the company for full product range and for all markets in order to ensure that the department will successfully meet company’s targets for exports, applying rational and consistent strategies in order to strengthen company's position in global markets.
(*) P.S: I have recorded highest export volume of the company history in 2019, annual basis. [Total quantity managed for HRC P&O/HDG/PPGI coil exports: ~450kt/y]

* Acting as the sole responsible for International Sales & Marketing activities of Long Steel materials manufactured in Isdemir (Steel Billets / Wire Rods in Coils).
* Making analysis of global steel markets and price movements (raw materials / semi & finishedproducts) in order to identify sales prospects in accurate markets at the correct time.
* Strengthening Erdemir’s position in global markets for Long Steel Products through proper marketing strategies | Meeting and/or exceeding individual and company sales targets.
(*) P.S: I have recorded highest Wire Rod export volume of company history in 2014, annual basis [Total quantity managed for Steel Billets & Wire Rods exports: ~800kt/y]

* Responsible for Sales & Marketing activities of Flat Steel products in assigned
regions [chronogical order: Spain & Portugal - Americas & Far East – Central EU – Italy)].
Defining new potential customers for the company / Establishing and maintaining current and potential customer relationships.
* Meeting and/or exceeding individual and company sales targets.
* Catching up market conditions very closely and identifying sales prospects.
* Managing quality and consistency of sales activities in assigned destinations.
(*) P.S: I have recorded highest HRP export volume of company history to USA in 2011. Also recorded highest HRC/CRC export volume of company history to Spain/Portugal in 2013, annual basis. Highest ratio of direct sales to end-users for South European customers in 2013 and 2014.

* Challenging experience on newly emerged ‘private’ Natural Gas sector in Turkey.
* Import of Natural Gas from Russia through national pipelines (BGC: 71% owned by Gazprom).
* Searching alternative routes for Natural Gas import to Turkey (mainly, LNG cargoes from globalsources) and to finalize the agreement on favourable terms for the company.
* Sales & Marketing of imported Natural Gas to potential industrial customers in Turkey.
Preparing projections/forecasts upon Natural Gas Sales & Purchase prices (based on global oilprices) and volumes in order to set up the short, mid and long-term plans for the company.
* Negotiating annual pricing formula and other agreement conditions directly with customers.

* Sales & Marketing of Isdemir's Long Steel products (Steel Billets / Wire Rods in Coils / Rebars) to current and potential export customers.
* Negotiating the unit price, delivery terms and other conditions to finalize the sales deals.
* Preparing the documentation of International Trade (documents including: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, CMR, CIM, Mate's Receipt, EUR1, ATR, Certificate of Origin, Customs Decleration).
* Full experience on Letter of Credit (L/C) payment term, all clauses and conditions.
* Preparing daily/weekly reports on Market Analysis & Potential Customers for the department.

* UNDP is the UN's global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.
* Experience of Project Associate at ‘Operations’ department of UNDP. Working in full
cooperation with other supranational UN agencies (UNOPS, UNIDO, UNFPA and WHO).
* ERP implementation / PeopleSoft supported ATLAS system management.
