Boost eWallet startup under the subsidiaries of Axiata Group Berhad. Pioneered Boost eWallet expansion in Perak, building up a team, participate in all commercial activities and being the key person representing Boost eWallet in Perak. I joined as a Territory Sales Manager and was promoted to Head of Perak later.
• Leading the expansion of Boost eWallet, a digital mobile wallet application developed by Axiata Group, throughout Perak acquired >14,000 merchants from various channel from
small provision to medium provision of F&B, Retail, Health & Beauty, Hotel, Convenience
and Services Industry (merchant acquired 2018: 2,691 / 2019: 6,904 / 2020: 11,841 / 2021:
12,268 / 2022: >14k). 5.2x merchant growth 2022 vs 2018.
• Manage to collaborate with some of the top businesses in Perak, HTM Pharmacy, Hup
Soon, MJ Jewellery, Simees Home Electronic, Wah Seng, PCK Fresh Mart, Pasarayaku, Sung Khong, Farmers Fresh Meat, Harolds Bread, Yee Hup, and etc. Successful collaboration
with RunnerMyRun (local food delivery) in pay with Boost only via food delivery
• Achieved high growth in 2019 of Transaction (average weekly 15k), GTV (average weekly
1.4mil, >50% of total North which consist of Perak, Penang, Kedah & Perlis), Active
Merchant (average 35% weekly) and User through various marketing campaigns and
government project initiatives
• Hire, led & managed a team of 4 Merchant Specialist responsible in developing Boost
eWallet branding presence through merchants and users’ acquisition, marketing
campaigns, events, partnerships, selling of digitization grant, SME loan and Celcom
product at targeted area
• Led 1 Territory Sales Manager which in charge of 10 merchant acquiring agencies (5 – 10 agents under each agency)
• Led campaign, contract and other presentation proposal and negotiation up to RM50k to ensure that deals are secured, been the panel speaker for Boost in Golden Eagle Award
2019
• Responsible in identifying & engaging new business opportunities through various
partnership with the local state government, managed to sign MOU (Memorandum Of
Understanding) with Tourism Perak and Digital Perak
• Led all execution of localized & nationwide effort through digital and offline marketing
campaigns, on-ground events and co-funding with main key merchants that resulted in an aggressive Boost’s branding presence throughout the state
• Prepare weekly management hurdles to update the higher management on the entire
state performance in terms of GTV (Gross Transaction Volume), NR (Nett Revenue),
competitor intel, both Merchant and User growth, on-going projects and upcoming rollouts
• Strategize and plan merchant acquisition focus area via CRM (Tableau and Microsoft365)
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders internally and externally to ensure mutual objectives are achieved to generate growth
